Our Statement of Faith

Triune God

We believe in one God who eternally exists in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit (John 14:26) – who created the heavens and the earth (Gen. 1:1-3).

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the authoritative Word of God. It is completely true and contains all that people in any age need to know for their salvation (2 Tim. 3:15-17).

Creation

We believe that God created all things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible (Col. 1:16). He created male and female in His own image (Gen. 1:27).

​

The Fall

We believe that as a result of the fall (Gen. 3), every human is corrupt (Rom. 5:12) and sins against God (Col. 1:21) and that the punishment of sin is eternal death (Rom. 6:23, 2 Thess. 1:9).

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (Matt. 3:17) who came to earth as fully human (Heb. 2:17) and fully God (Col. 2:9). He died on the cross, rose again on the third day, and ascended to heaven (1 Cor. 15:3-4, Eph. 4:8)

Salvation

We believe that salvation comes by grace through faith (Eph. 2:8) in Jesus Christ. Those who put their faith in Christ receive forgiveness of their sins (Matt. 26:28) and a new life in Christ that is reconciled to God (2 Cor. 5:17-18).

Holy Spirit

We believe that God sends His people the Holy Spirit (John 14:26) who dwells in them (1 Cor. 3:16) to teach, equip, and help them to desire and walk in righteousness (Rom. 8:5).

The Church

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:27). His people are called to gather in worship (Acts 2:42), remember Christ through the Lord’s Supper (1 Cor. 11:26), build each other up in love (Eph. 4:15-16), make disciples of all nations by baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and teaching to obey all of Jesus’ commands (Matt. 28:19-20).

The Second Coming

We believe Jesus Christ will return to judge the living and the dead (Heb. 9:28) and His Kingdom will fully come (Rev. 21:3).
